Books Germany is talking about
You want to know which books people are talking about and what topics are on German readers’ minds?
Every year, the Frankfurt Book Fair puts together a number of book collections on different topical subjects. These are currently being discussed in Germany and also noted with interest in other countries. The standard collections include children’s books, new literary releases and a selection of the best German book designs.
With funding from the Federal Foreign Office, the Frankfurt Book Fair presents book collections on the German collective stands that pick up on current areas of interest.
This year's collection "Sunny Prospects. Green architecture now!" will focus on eco-friendly planning and building. The books will be presented first at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2010 in Hall 4.2, B 424.
Are you interested in any of the books on display? Our colleagues on the spot will be happy to set up contacts with the German publishing companies or to advise you on how to obtain the books on show.
You can also view the book collections in the Frankfurt Book Fair’s offices abroad.
Best-Designed Books
The "Best-Designed German Books" competition is held every year by the Stiftung Buchkunst (Book Art Foundation). The Frankfurt Book Fair has collaborated with the Stiftung Buchkunst for many years in exhibiting the competition winners at selected international book fairs and in its offices abroad.
