A Turkish organisation committee prepared a programme including a varied range of exhibitions and cultural events alongside the presentation at the Book Fair. Seminars and workshops, book exhibitions, readings, concerts, films and stage productions in Frankfurt, Berlin and other German cities found a numerous and interested public.

There was a particularly positive response to the German-Turkish rights and licence exchange session, offering ten-minute speed-meetings for publishers from the German and Turkish children’s book markets to establish initial contacts.

Every year since 1988, the Frankfurt Book Fair has organised an international book exhibition in which numerous publishing companies from all over the world present their titles relating to the respective Guest of Honour.

The Frankfurt Book Fair offered publishing companies from all over the world the opportunity of a special exhibition for display of their current translations from Turkish literature. This is accompanied by an exhibition catalogue with the contact addresses of publishing companies who contribute.
