LitCam Lounge
The International LitCam Conference is being held on Tuesday, 14 October, with the headline topic “Literacy and Integration”.
In response to the big demand last year, a LitCam Lounge will for the first time be in place for the entire duration of the Book Fair in 2008. It is located in the education area in Hall 3.1 – in the immediate vicinity of the Education Collective Stand and the ZEIT Education Forum.
This is where the Frankfurt Book Fair introduces itself, together with its partners the Bundesverband Alphabetisierung (National Association For Literacy), the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning, Avallain and Google. The European Commission General-Directorate for Education and Culture and the organisations taking part at the LitCam Conference also present themselves here. In addition, the ongoing “Football meets Culture” project will be on show in the LitCam Lounge.
Here too, the LitCam hosts ‘High Noon’ talks on the topic of raising literacy levels and basic education to be held daily between 12.00 noon and 1.00 p.m. in the Lounge.
