Programme
From the Simpsons Workshop to heated debates with authors - we hope you enjoyed our programme of events last year! And we are looking forward to be seeing you again in 2009!
In 2008, over 400 publishing companies in Germany chalked up 3.1 billion euros in sales from specialist media. At the Frankfurt Book Fair 2009 they are part of a new focus: the Centre for Business & Specialist Media...
The Frankfurt Book Fair seeks to serve cultural interchange across national borders. With this in mind, every year it gives a Guest of Honour the opportunity to introduce itself in all its cultural diversity.
Education is not just a growth market for the book and media industry. Given the high rates of illliteracy in many countries, it is also an important social-political issue. The Frankfurt Book fair has taken up on this crucial issue and made education one of her key focuses in 2006. We organise international congresses, seminars and workshops throughout the year since then.
Alongside education, many other key focuses find their place in the Frankfurt Book Fair’s programme, such as antiquarian books, comic and digitisation.
No matter what aspect interests you in the world of books: you are certain to find it here.
