Stand Design

Details for stand design

For self-constructed stands, particularly for those outside of the normal stand rows, a dimension tolerance of +/- 5 cm must be observed (due to the column facings, for example). For normal stands of two and four metres depth, the net widths as cited in our brochure shall apply.

Fire protection regulations

Please make sure to observe the fire protection regulations for trade fair stands. All of the stand construction material must conform to the regulations of the building supervision and fire protection authorities and be at least non-flammable in accordance with DIN 4102. Please see our "Technical Regulations" for details of the building authority stipulations (under "Forms"). If non-compliance with the fire protection regulations is established on inspection, the Book Fair management will have the necessary protection measures implemented at the expense of the exhibitor.

Back walls

Double deep stands straddling two aisles back to back must not be closed off completely on one side, if they are four or more metres wide. At least 50% of the back wall must be kept open. This is to avoid the exhibitor on the other side of the aisle having to face a blank wall. If you are not sure, send us a sketch of the floor plan for checking and approval.

Hall walls and pillars are not part of your stand. Posters affixed in these places will be removed at the advertiser's expense.

A corner stand – with the option of using the head walls on aisles for promotion or decoration purposes, or of removing them altogether – is subject to an extra charge which will be added to the stand fee (see "Registration/Price List Stands").

Distribution of self-adhesive stickers and any other promotion outside your stand area is not permitted. Gas-filled balloons are prohibited in the halls.
