In the face of globalisation and agglomeration moves, it is becoming increasingly difficult for independent companies from under-developed book markets to make their way on the world market.
The Frankfurt Book Fair aims to help them take their first step in that direction. 25 carefully selected independent publishing companies from Africa, Asia, Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe are provided with a stand free of charge, as well as their travel and accommodation. The funding is provided mainly by the Frankfurt Book Fair and Germany’s Federal Foreign Office.
