How to ensure the success of your Book Fair visit

1. Define your objectives
What do you want to achieve at the Frankfurt Book Fair? Are you buying or are you selling? Or building up your network? Plan your activities according to these objectives, using our Online Catalogue.

2. Learn
Under the umbrella of the Frankfurt Academy, the Frankfurt Book Fair organises many different conferences, as well as a professional programme looking at relevant industry trends. Take advantage of these activities to become more familiar with the market, while widening your network.

3. Benefit from your trade visitor status
Register as a trade visitor before you travel to the Book Fair and you can save yourself valuable time when you are here. You can use our convenient Online Ticketing and you’ll have access to the industry network, the Who’sWho.

4. Arrange appointments
Make your arrangements early to meet important contacts. Devote your talks to the most important topics, as you often won’t have more than 30 minutes for a meeting. When you plan your schedule, be sure to include enough extra time for moving around the exhibition halls.

5. Book travel and accommodation.
Book your flight as soon as possible, and don’t leave it too long to reserve a place to stay. Experienced Book Fair visitors make their travel arrangements no later than six months in advance. Follow the links at
Accommodation

6. Apply for a visa
Please apply for your visa in good time, without fail. The Frankfurt Book Fair’s visa service sends out personal invitations to exhibitors, trade visitors and journalists from countries with a visa requirement.
