Frankfurt Antiquarian Fair in Hall 4.1

Antiquariatsmesse 2011 29386

Antiquarian treasures at the Frankfurter Buchmesse.
Incunabula and early writings on science, theology and philosophy, as well as antique prints and other works will once again be for sale at the Frankfurt Antiquarian Fair in 2018, bearing witness to the European art of printing and book culture. But the 20th century also gets its due, of course, with autographs, hand-printed editions, books with original prints and other items rounding off the selection.

2017, 36 antiquarian booksellers – both from Germany and abroad – participated in the fair. Most of the exhibitors are members of the Verband Deutscher Antiquare e.V. (Association of German Antiquarian Booksellers) or their respective national associations, which are connected to the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB), a worldwide umbrella organisation. In keeping with the ILAB Code of Ethics, they guarantee high standards, transparent pricing, detailed descriptions of the works on offer, meticulous research, the authenticity of the items and expert advice.

2017 highlights - a review

The focus of the 2017 Antiquarian Book Fair lied on the Guest of Honour France. Find more than 60 titles in the catalogue on www.abooks.de.
Among first editions by French authors (e.g. Apollinaire, Balzac, R. Char, Hugo, Nerval, Rousseau), our exhibitors presented many testimonials of French art and culture.

Young readers and collectors with a smaller budget were able to search the newly established "antiquarian corner" with about 5,000 titles for 50€ or less.
