The KIDS area is colourful, exciting and a "must" for anyone involved or interested in the children’s book community. Seminars and networking events during the entire Fair give insight into the "future of reading", what children’s book markets in other countries are doing, and much more. Meet children’s book publishers, agents, digital service providers, illustrators, authors, and others.

Review 2017 and thank you note Children's and juvenile books and media were presented throughout halls 3 to 6. They all added to another lively, interesting and inspiring Book Fair. All of this would not have been possible without our great international publishers. Thank you for making this another great Frankfurter Buchmesse, for making it an indispensable meeting point of the industry. We are looking forward to seeing you again!

  • Hall 3.0

Hall 3.0 is the centre of the KIDS universe: Here, you’ll find the displays of renowned German-language publishers such as Oetinger, Loewe, Beltz and many others, as well as large and small exhibitors from Russia, Spain, Italy, Asia and many other countries. From Wednesday to Friday, on the Kids' stage, there will be professional events on various topics, and on the weekend well-known authors will give public readings.

  • Children’s books in the international halls

Children’s books are growing internationally at the Book Fair: This year, 150 exhibitors in Hall 5.1 and 160 exhibitors in Hall 6.1 will present their children’s and young adult book programmes on 1,400 sqm and 2,700 sqm, respectively. To make it easier for visitors to find their way, the Frankfurt Book Fair has created a new children’s book area at the entrances to the halls.

  • Children’s book publishers around the Agora

You’ll find children’s book publishers exhibiting within their national contexts not only in Hall 3.0, but in other halls as well. Since 2015, all publishers are grouped around the Agora, so long walks to the English-language children’s book publishers, for example, are no longer necessary – you’ll find them in Hall 6.1.

  • Illustrators

The Illustrators’ Corner, in the immediate vicinity of the Children’s Book Centre, is a contact point for illustrators and publishers. Portfolio advice from experts, rights advice for illustrators, glimpses into German and international portfolios – here, you’ll find the right contact person for all these things every day.

  • From games to film

At the Frankfurt Book Fair, you’ll find representatives of all the key players in the fields of games, technology, licensing, film, etc., giving publishers a chance to make new contacts and thereby diversifying their business opportunities.
